Chedva Kleinhandler

Founder at Emerj

I’m the founder of Emerj, a startup with one clear goal: make work – better. This is a life mission for me and my team, built out of our own experiences as well as of the 600 people from 56 countries that shared (and continue sharing) their experiences with us.
Our solution is an app that connects between employees and mentors for always relevant, always confidential career advice on demand. This would help not only with economic empowerment, but would also build more diverse, more productive and more efficient businesses with inherent growth, and with reduced employee turnover.

Before Emerj (which was previously called Lean On), I helped local brands take the leap and become recognizable abroad by tweaking their social media, content strategy and connections with bloggers and magazines.

Specialties: Blogging, blogger outreach, content strategy, Twitter, Pinterest, Shopify.

I’m the former co-founder of #InsightMediaIL – a social media workshop series for lifestyle business owners and creative entrepreneurs. I started my design blog Rooms and Words on 2010 (after blogging since 2007) and since then I’ve written and blogged for various magazines, brands and online publications.

Comme il faut

“Comme il faut”, literally translated from French to ‘properly,’ is a business by women for women.

Comme il faut is comprised of a fashion house, women’s only spa, and chef’s restaurant located at the Beit Banamal (Home in the Harbor) complex at Tel Aviv port, that offers a women’s venue for culture and entertainment. Sybil Goldfiner founded the company together with Carole Godin 22 years ago, as a business by women for women. The company seeks to advance women in Israeli society by developing and cultivating feminist awareness. The approach that guides the company’s activities is that a garment is not only a garment, but is also part of an entire gamut of political actions that are motivated by a cultural-critical worldview. The designers at comme Il faut believe that a piece of clothing truly resembles the way in which it was produced, the body image it carries, and the way we choose to advertise and display it. Moreover, the clothing article will always signify the values that inspired its creation.

Through his lyrics, Ivri brings to life the thoughts and day-to-day encounters of a new generation of Israelis – a generation he calls “The New People.” It comes as no surprise to those who follow the Israeli music scene that the combination of Ivri’s songwriting and his unique voice have made him not only a star, but one of the most adored and respected people in Israel. Born on a Kibbutz in 1974, Ivri took his first musical steps while still in high school. At the age of 17, he started a group called Everyone Does It Like This, whose gigs included a performance at the legendary Roxanne club in Tel Aviv. As he continued to refine musical skills throughout his teen years, renowned Israeli modern dance choreographer Anat Danieli commissioned Lider to compose the music for two of her pieces, “Kisses” and “October.” Shortly thereafter, he was tapped by Ohad Naharrin to compose the music for “Kaamos,” which Naharrin choreographed for the famous Dutch dance company, NDT. And at the young age of 21, Israel’s leading dance company, Bat Sheva, chose Lider to compose the entire score for Z/NA, making him the youngest person to compose an entire evening of music in the company’s history. In September 2011, Ivri has released “20 Seconds”, the new singel by “The Young Professionals.” Nowadays Ivri is concentrated in the making of his new album in hebrew. In the beginning of 2012, TYP were signed by Polydor Records, the french extension of the international music company, Universal.
