Luiz Hara

After years in finance and investment banking, Luiz left The City of London to follow his true passion and embark on a career in food. He lived in Tokyo to research Japanese cuisine and returned to the UK to graduate with the grande diplome at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. Luiz hosts Japanese and Nikkei supper clubs in his home in London for 30 guests each evening, three evenings a week serving a 10-course tasting menu, the events have been sold out since starting 5 years ago. Today, Luiz shares his time cooking for his supper club, travelling the world to discover new ingredients and food trends and food & travel writing for his popular blog The London Foodie. His first cookbook ‘Nikkei Cuisine: Japanese Food the South American Way’ was published by Jacqui Small in October 2015 and is available on Amazon.
