My name is Ray Segev. I am a model Plass and a cultural researcher. I served as a fashion designer for the fashion companies: Golf, Seasons, So Simple, Almabika, Levitex, Honigman etc., and I led the revolution. Today I accompany women to self acceptance from my personal story. Lectures and workshops as part of the new project @She_space. For years I was a set designer and costume designer in the film and television industry (“This is Sodom” by A Wonderful Country, clips by Shlomi Shaban, Sarit Hadad, commercials by Bezeq and Coca Cola , etc.) until one day I ran into an interview in the American magazine Glamor Size “Lizzie Miller, who spoke about the importance of models in different sizes in the world. I was mesmerized by the power and honesty that was there, and at the moment of enlightenment I realized that the more women were exposed to different models of beauty, the more positive their body image would be. From this moment on, I dedicated all my energies to making the fashion industry in Israel and abroad understand the tremendous potential in adapting the beauty model to the clientele of the brand.
I’ve appeared in magazines like Vogue Italia, Style, Marie Claire, The Woman, Modern Times, and leading fashion companies like Seasons, Octopus, H & O, Elmabica, Adika, Delta, and more. I served as a presenter of various brands such as Almabika and So Simple. I have written and interviewed in various media as a spokesperson for the amazing global process of empowering women around the world and in creating a change in thinking about body image and beauty model here in Israel.
